International research network for questions related to reading founded

How is reading changing in the age of digitalisation and social change? And what significance and function will it assume in the future? Researchers at FAU are exploring these questions together with researchers from other institutions in the newly founded “Reading Research Network”.

Whether world literature, cooking recipes or contracts, whether digital or printed – reading as a research subject is multi-faceted. The aim of the network is therefore to systematically promote the exchange and further development of research questions relating to reading and to pursue common research interests. Prof. Dr. Svenja Hagenhoff, Institute for Book Science at FAU, is coordinating the network together with Prof. Dr. Simone C. Ehmig, Institute for Reading and Media Research at Stiftung Lesen Mainz, and Prof. Dr. Ute Schneider, Gutenberg Institute for World Literature and Writing-oriented Media at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. read more…
