In the CHE ranking for studies during the corona pandemic, FAU scores very well

The corona pandemic has presented university teaching with completely new challenges. Within a very short period of time, lecturers had to convert lectures into a digital format, students had to be informed about new processes and about constantly changing circumstances. According to a special evaluation by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE), FAU has mastered these challenges brilliantly. A student survey on studying during the Corona pandemic predominantly resulted in very good grades. The participants especially praised the university’s communication.

From April to August of this year, the CHE surveyed students of business administration, business informatics, industrial engineering and management and economics. FAU received very good marks for the general handling of the pandemic, such as FAU’s communication on the current situation. One evaluation states: “FAU reported very transparently to the students at an early stage of the corona crisis. They really felt very well informed”. FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger kept students and staff informed through regular podcasts and newsletters, among other things. But also the possibilities to continue the studies as planned and the technical possibilities for this, scored very well in the survey for the four study programs. Read more…
