Digitalisation and social transformation
Working group “Digitalisation and social transformation” in IZdigital
The working group bundles social science expertise on questions of socio-technical transformation in the context of digitization at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (sociology, cultural geography, political science, law, book/communication science, media science, education, etc.). The working group coordinates the social science teaching in the BA course “Digital Humanities and Social Sciences” and is planning an interdisciplinary supplementary course “Digitization and Socio-Technical Transformation” for social science MA courses at FAU in the future.
In order to network the research work, WG 2016 has organized two internal colloquia and is involved in the organization of workshops and conferences at FAU. Furthermore, joint research projects of members of the WG are in preparation. The AG cooperates closely with the Centre for Management, Technology and Society of FAU in Nuremberg.
