Date: July 5, 2021.

Time: 16:15 – 17:45 (90 min).

Venue: online

Wikipedia is not only one of the most used sites on the Internet – it is also the largest online encyclopedia where everyone can participate. However, various groups and topics are underrepresented in Wikipedia: for example, there are significantly fewer biographies of women than of men. This workshop therefore provides an introduction to how we can actively contribute to Wikipedia ourselves – from correcting errors to adding content to translating and writing our own articles. Previous knowledge is not required – but in order to get started immediately, we ask all participants to create a Wikipedia account in advance.

The number of participants is limited. Please register for the workshop with Katharina Leyrer:

The workshop will take place as part of the DH Colloquium of the Digital Humanities Lab.

The Digital Humanities Lab provides a forum for scholars and students of all subjects and disciplines to exchange ideas about Digital Humanities, to inform themselves or to work on projects together.
